Opening: Stanza COMICS

About this event

Hey all,

As many of you know, Stanza Books will be moving to the Mase Firehouse at 425 Main, Beacon.

Many of you have asked about progress. We thought we’d be there by now, but you know…construction. As part of the plan, we’d planned on opening a comics shop at 508 Main.

BUT

We’ve decided to mix it up on you, cause, why not make it a little more interesting?

Dec 4, 2026 , we will open Stanza Comics at 159 Main , Beacon

Many of you know José López, from Comics club, sci-fi club, and the community. Joe has spent most of this year nurturing a comics community within Stanza Books , and using his unique voice to curate a fantastic comics and graphic novels section. Joe has also spearheaded our comics workshops for kids, including the Summer Comics Intensive , and the resulting publication of COMICS BY KIDS.

As with many things in life, this came about because we saw an opportunity, and decided to grab it. 159 Main is on the West end of Main, and we hope that helps us reach a whole new Beacon.

Stanza Comics will celebrate comics for all ages, in all forms, from a kid’s first graphic novel to the latest releases and the back-issue treasures that make collecting so much fun. Manga, bande dessinée, classic comic strips, original art. We love it all. We’ll also have a ton of great stuff for the holiday season, so make us one of your stops.

Stanza Comics will be a way station at the intersection of countless worlds, where we can explore, talk comics, and never know what we’ll discover next.

We can't wait to open the doors and welcome you into our little corner of the multiverse.

Joe, Mark, & Andi
