Residents from Orange and Dutchess counties rallied on Tuesday, July 29 at Beacon Ferry Dock to protest the MTA’s decision to permanently end the Newburgh-Beacon ferry service — local officials and community members demanded that the agency reconsider and invest in repairs to keep the important transit link intact.
