Welcome Winter! Forest Walk & Pine Tea

Enjoy a rare experience of Manitoga in early winter with a guided meditative walk through Russel Wright's Woodland Garden. Cindy Olsen, Mindful Outdoor Nature Guide, will provide a Forest Bathing walk, complete with freshly foraged pine tea and light snacks before the group tours the House and Studio at Dragon Rock.

What's included

• A seasonal spread with light food and beverage.

• An extended guided walk along the footpath around the Quarry Pool and access to the interiors of the House and Studio (restricted to registered tour guests only).

• The Russel & Mary Wright Design Gallery at Manitoga , featuring over 200 objects from the Wrights’ ground-breaking designs for the American home.

Itinerary

• Arrive at the public parking lot located at 584 NY-9D, Garrison, NY and check in with Manitoga Staff at the Guide House, located at the far end of the lot.

• The tour will begin promptly by the Trail Kiosk, where one of our professional Landscape experts will greet and lead the group , first up one of the seasonally selected trails through the Woodland Garden, then down to the House, Studio and Design Gallery.

• The tour lasts between 2 to 2.5 hours from start to finish, with approximately 75 minutes spent in the Landscape (ascending and descending the footpath) and 45 minutes in the interiors.

• The tour pauses often to take in points of interest with context and history provided by our staff.

• At the end of the tour, the Site Educator will lead the group down the Quarry Pool footpath to the public lot, where the Guide House / Gift Shop will be open.

Highlights

Each installation of the All Four Seasons series provides a curated immersive experience of all that Manitoga has to offer. Guests are led by Senior Staff along one of Russel Wright's Woodland paths (hand-selected depending upon the season), emphasizing seasonal themes that tie into the Wrights' designs on display in the Design Gallery.
