Shawangunk Grit 2026

About this event

Gravel. Grit. Purpose. Join us on Saturday, November 7, 2026, for the 5th Annual Shawangunk Grit, a one-of-a-kind gravel cycling adventure through the spectacular landscapes of the Shawangunk Ridge. Pick from two distances: 50.4 miles (4,711 ft gain) or 23 miles (1,895 ft gain). Both courses begin and end at the Ulster County Fairgrounds and once you enter the Preserve at mile two, the course is 99% gravel on our famous network of carriage roads. Experience the energy of the ride, quiet back roads, challenging climbs, sweeping views, and the community that makes every mile along the way memorable. Whether you're a seasoned gravel rider, a weekend adventurer, or looking for your next big challenge, there's a place for you at the starting line. Scenic gravel roads and rugged terrain

Well-stocked aid stations throughout

Gravel & Grit Expo at the finish-line
