- ➤ Metro-North broke its post-pandemic ridership record in December when 827,015 riders were recorded in the week of December 15 + the weekend of December 20-21 marked its strongest performance. The MTA said the numbers reached 88 percent of average pre-pandemic ridership. Mid Hudson News

- ➤ The Poughkeepsie Journal girls athlete of the week poll for Dec. 22-28 is live as coaches submit game stats (voting closes at 8:30 p.m. Sunday) and the winner will be announced Monday morning. Poughkeepsie Journal
- ➤ After awarding Jalin Thompson as athlete of the week for Dec.14-20 based on 56% of votes, the Poughkeepsie Journal closed nominations for boys athlete of the week for Dec.22-28 with coaches submitting game stats until Sunday night (8:30 p.m.); the new winner will be announced later today.
