- ➤ Holiday lights trains have been running since November 28 on Metro-North East of Hudson lines and LIRR — the trains carry festive decorations and special safety messages. They will continue on a random rotation each day and night until New Year's. Hudson Valley Post
- ➤ The Harlem Valley Rail Trail’s Northern Trail Extension connecting Chatham and Ghent is now complete—though the ribbon-cuting ceremony is delayed by winter weather. Further expansion will continue in 2026 with $2.5 million in funding—planned by state officials. Hudson Valley Post
