  • Arlington Holiday Festival will be held on December 6 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Municipal Lot—41 Raymond Avenue in Poughkeepsie and will offer free entry.  1450 WKIP
  • On Sunday, Saugerties Police Department and the Ulster County Sheriff's Office worked with Price Chopper to collect food for local families in need. Store patrons donated several carts of non-perishable items that were delivered—after sorting at Maria's St. John's Food Pantry on Cedar Street—to help families get ready for the holiday season.  Mid Hudson News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will reverse its recent cancellation of naturalization ceremonies in counties including Rockland, Westchester, and Dutchess, as announced by U.S. Rep. Mike Lawler. County Clerks will resume administering the Oath of Allegiance immediately (as confirmed by USCIS Director Joseph Edlow), restoring the process for new citizens.  Mid Hudson News

  • Our Lady of Lourdes High School is dedicating its gym to honor former basketball coach Brian Giorgis, who led the girls’ team for 19 seasons to nine state championships and 451 wins (44 losses).
