- ➤ Vassar junior Haley Schoenegge finished fifth in the women’s race at the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional cross country meet at Saint Lawrence University in Canton + her effort helped the Brewers tie for fifth overall. Poughkeepsie Journal
- ➤ In Hyde Park, Monroe-Woodbury won the Section 9 Class AA football final at FDR Saturday as playmaker Braylon Shillingford scored key touchdowns—including a 23-yard catch early and a late score—to secure a 28—21 win over Middletown. The Crusaders will advance to the regional championship on Nov.22 while Middletown will play in Colonie on the same day. Mid Hudson News
