- ➤ Documents obtained Tuesday from the city's Buildings Department include construction plans and repair details for the 50 Hale Ave. garage where the floor partially collapsed—officials noted that repairs were done without state assessment reports since 2018 and are investigating the cause. - ➤ New research using DOT data shows New York ranked as the fourth safest state for Halloween driving with 1.48 fatal crashes per million residents—61.72% lower than the U.S. average.
