- ➤ Local business Wreck Room HV will open November 1 at the Poughkeepsie Galleria to offer visitors a safe space where they can smash donated junk—like old TVs, computer monitors, and kitchen items—with a free bottle smash event and raffle prizes including a 50-inch TV. - ➤ Residents across the Hudson Valley reported a swarm of Asian lady-beetles outside homes as fall weather prompted the insects to seek winter shelter. - ➤ Town leadership in Wappinger installed two new bus shelters at Mesier Park and Wappinger Plaza for transit users—shelters that were donated nearly a decade ago by the Federal Government and required ADA compliance work under Town Supervisor Joseph D.
