  • At Stewart Airport early Saturday morning, three Leprechaun Lines buses carried US service veterans and their guests for Honor Flight #37 to Washington, DC—escorted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and Hudson Valley Regional Police Pipes and Drums as local crowds cheered a pre-flight ceremony. A tribute ceremony honoring the veterans took place at the terminal before they boarded their plane.  Mid Hudson News

  • The Dellamura Family in Poughkeepsie has transformed their front lawn at 45 Kerr Road into a Halloween display with 148 spooky decorations—featuring a new 12-foot giant and a pump station that squirts green ooze.   • The New York Association for Pupil Transportation will hold Operation Safe Stop Day on October 22 to remind drivers to stop for school buses when red lights flash—an effort to reduce dangerous bus passing.
