- ➤ Assemblyman Brian Maher announced that the Regional Food Bank Hudson Valley will receive a $50,000 grant to install a new freezer at its Shop the Dock facility, expanding its ability to store and distribute perishable goods. - ➤ Harvest Moon Orchard draws thousands on weekends with cider, donuts and views of the Hudson Valley. After dark, the farm becomes Mystic Moon—a Halloween-themed trail with music, themed zones, a pirate shipwreck, a cookie witch, and a voodoo bar serving Halloween drinks while featuring Talon, a forest guardian owl. - ➤ State lawmakers in New York are proposing a bill that would let people grow and use psilocybin mushrooms for mental health treatment—if the bill passes, New York will be the third state to legalize these mushrooms following Oregon and Colorado. Hudson Valley Post

- ➤ Garnet Health plans to affiliate with Montefiore Health System to boost local healthcare delivery — the affiliation will add clinical expertise and expanded resources and is expected to be finalized by year-end.
