  • A brewery in Warwick remains open while its property is listed for sale; the listing includes 48 acres with a restored 300-year-old barn, a second barn, and a two-bedroom home—providing zoning flexibility for future brewery, restaurant, or event space use.   • The Poughkeepsie Children’s Cabinet, co-founded by former mayor Rob Rolison and former school superintendent Dr. Eric Rosser, received a grant between 5—6 million dollars from the Wallace Foundation to boost its cradle-to-career programs. The grant, chosen from a national initiative that selected seven communities, will expand afterschool and summer enrichment and career exploration opportunities for local youth.  Mid Hudson News

  • Spectacular fall colors are spreading across New York as peak foliage bursts in northern and central areas ahead of the long holiday weekend.   • Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino and Jewish Federation Executive Director Karen Hochauser led a solemn ceremony on October 7 to mark the second anniversary of the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel—distributing over 100 yellow ribbons to honor the more than 1,200 victims and demand the safe return of the 48 hostages still held in Gaza.  Mid Hudson News
