  • Bard College men’s basketball will start its season in the Wild Goose Classic at Washington College in Maryland on November 8-9 — the team features 15 first- and second-year players led by coach Dave Sloan and will face other Skyline Conference opponents in later home games.  Poughkeepsie Journal
  • Vassar College women's basketball team will begin its season on November 12 at SUNY New Paltz with new head coach Carly Assimon and aim to defend its Liberty League title—its schedule featuring a home game against rival Ithaca on December 5 and an away contest on February 21. The team, which beat top rivals last season, looks to repeat its strong performance in the league.  Poughkeepsie Journal
