  • Chipotle is opening a new restaurant in Poughkeepsie at Arlington Square—across from Adams Fairacre Farms—with its second location joining the one at Hudson Heritage Plaza. The restaurant is hiring and will open later this month.  1450 WKIP

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Dutchess County Family Court Judge Jeffrey Martin delivered the keynote at the annual Family Court Memorial on Market Street, noting that local residents were not caught in the terror of 9/11 — he urged the community to unite and fight prejudice to honor the victims and survivors.   • The Indian Point nuclear plant in the Hudson Valley could be restarted if billions of dollars are secured — Kelly Trice from Holtec International said the project could take four years and create thousands of jobs. However, Gov. Kathy Hochul and environmental groups have raised concerns about safety risks and high costs, and Hochul’s office stated there are no plans to reopen the facility.  Daily Voice

  • In Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County officials honored first responders who died of cancers linked to 9/11 toxins during a ceremony that recalled heroes like NY State Police Sergeant James Sweeney — who worked at Ground Zero before his illness.
