- ➤ Costco stores in New York enforced a strict VIP hour on Sept. 2 that lets only Executive Members shop early—9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on weekdays and 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturdays—while other members must wait until 10 a.m., and they raised the Executive Membership fee from $120 to $130, leaving many shoppers upset. - ➤ Hyde Park Police arrested a 60-year-old Queens woman at Pine Woods Spa (7 Pine Woods Road) after community members complained about illegal massage services; she is charged with felony unauthorized practice of a profession and misdemeanor prostitution and will appear in court on Sept. 4. - ➤ Ila M. Janus, a 29-year-old wanted on an active bench warrant, was arrested in LaGrange on Saturday, Aug. 30 during a traffic stop on the Taconic Parkway after officers found about 72.3 grams of fentanyl and 10.8 grams of heroin in her possession—she now faces drug charges and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
