- ➤ Sue Serino is launching Cultivating Dutchess to help keep farming strong in Dutchess County—this new hub will give farms, students, and officials access to programs and resources that support local agriculture. Farming covers over 170,000 acres and produces more than $40 million in products while employing over 2,000 people. Mid Hudson News

- ➤ A 29-year-old Rhinebeck woman was arrested over the weekend in LaGrange for possessing over 80 grams of fentanyl and heroin when troopers pulled over her vehicle at 3 a.m. on Taconic State Parkway for a traffic infraction—she is set to appear in court on September 23rd. Mid Hudson News

- ➤ Children in Brewster are getting free breakfast and lunch today as part of a universal free school meals program—part of the state's 2026 budget that will assist more than 2.7 million students statewide. School leaders and Assemblyman Slater say the plan will save families about $165 per child per month and help address food insecurity in the Hudson Valley. Mid Hudson News

- ➤ New York State announced plans to expand no-cost rides through GoGoGrandparent to help seniors get to grocery stores, appointments, and visits. The service, run by the Office for the Aging and local offices, will extend to counties including Columbia, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland — Westchester. Mid Hudson News
- ➤ New York lawmakers are considering a bill that would require hospitals in the 340B program — a federal drug discount system — to report their revenue so that the funds help low-income patients.
