  • Officers searched 30-year-old Cody Gilmore’s home on New Hackensack Road on August 25th and arrested him on gun and drug charges after uncovering seven firearms — cocaine, crack cocaine, pills and other drugs.  News 12 Hudson Valley

  • The Dutchess County Fair brought summer fun with food, rides, and games on August 23 at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck — locals enjoyed festive competitions and lively entertainment that marked a busy day for the community.   • New rules and vaccine requirements will take effect for all New York students as schools open soon—parents must ensure their children receive all required doses to attend without a valid exemption.   • Wappinger Town Supervisor Joseph Cavaccini and the town board removed an unsafe asphalt boat ramp in Chelsea—allowing boaters to safely launch into the Hudson River. The town allocated $198,000 for the project and will build a longer, wider dock to also accommodate kayakers.  Mid Hudson News
