- ➤ On Monday, Dutchess County Court Judge Edward McLoughlin sentenced Jan Michael Deere—37—to 30 years in prison for the March 2024 killing of Jaquan Fryar outside an illegal nightclub on Main Street in Poughkeepsie, and co-defendant Joseph Gonzalez pleaded guilty to assault and criminal possession of a weapon. - ➤ Forty-year-old Damian Cunningham was convicted by a jury in Dutchess County Court after investigators spotted him fleeing a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway with a kilo of cocaine, following his arrest on March 7 amid a major narcotics trafficking investigation — sentencing is set for October 17.
