- ➤ A Poughkeepsie staff member at the Anderson Center for Autism in Hyde Park allegedly held a pillow to a resident's face on Aug. 2—police said the 22-year-old was arrested on Aug. 7 and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 19 at 5 p.m. Daily Voice
- ➤ City of Poughkeepsie Police arrested 40-year-old Lamar C. Smith on Thursday, Aug. 7 at about 8:50 p.m. on Main Street for felony drug charges—he is now held at Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center pending arraignment. Daily Voice
