  • Tomorrow, the Hudson Valley Caribbean Festival will be held at Waryas Park on the waterfront from 12pm to 8pm—featuring live music, food contests, face painting and fun rides.   • Senator Gillibrand on Thursday called for the Kay Hagan Tick Reauthorization Act to fund research, prevention, and treatment for tick-borne illnesses like Lyme disease that has surged in New York — the bill directs the health department to update its vector control plans and data gathering — and she requested over $200 million for these efforts.  Mid Hudson News

  • Governor Kathy Hochul warned that a new federal policy could cause more than 750,000 children to lose health coverage when the changes take effect in 2027.
