- ➤ A grassroots group called New York Neighbors Unit formed in the Hudson Valley to support 23-year-old Gerson Santamaria Turcios after ICE detained him late Friday in Rhinebeck, where he had been returning from work. US District Judge Ronnie Abrams signed a writ of habeas corpus on Monday, and the group raised nearly $40,000 + donations from actors Paul Rudd + Griffin Dunne. Mid Hudson News

- ➤ Gunfire erupted just after 7 p.m. Sunday at Hulme Park on Market Street during a crowded basketball game in Poughkeepsie — a 37 year old man from Newburgh suffered a non life threatening gunshot wound as two men were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
