- ➤ Two dozen residents demonstrated outside Carmel Town Hall in Mahopac on Thursday, demanding an investigation into Congressman Lawler’s deputy district director Erin Lee Crowley after her phone was reportedly used under the name ‘Jake Thomas’ to spur disruptive behavior at a May town hall in Somers—protesters were later removed from a lengthy legislative meeting where they sought censure of Crowley. The demonstrators held anti-Lawler signs and called on the Putnam County Legislature to address the alleged misuse of a personal phone number. Mid Hudson News

- ➤ The New York State Office of Cannabis Management recalled cannabis products made by East End Flower Farm LTD under the Harvest brand on July 15 after tests found unsafe pesticide levels using unreliable methods by Lexachrom Analytical Laboratory—dispensaries and distributors have stopped selling these products.
