  • On Tuesday, a 2006 Peterbilt dump truck lost control on I-84 east of the Route 311 interchange in Patterson when a tire failure caused it to roll over and start a small fire, prompting emergency crews—including state police, local fire and hazmat teams—to clear spilled fluids and heavy traffic while driver Brian Turner was taken to Danbury Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  Mid Hudson News

  • A 34-year-old woman, Rebecca Austin, was arrested early Tuesday morning, July 15 in the 400 block of Main Street after officers recognized her from a previous investigation—she is wanted on multiple felony warrants from several counties and now faces additional charges.  Daily Voice

  • Red Hook Town Board voted 3-2 Tuesday night to begin eminent domain proceedings to seize the Red Hook Boat Club property on Dock Road along the Hudson River in Barrytown—supporters say the move secures needed public water access.   • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 127 ER visits per 100,000 due to tick bites, the highest rate since 2017—raising concerns at Hudson Valley summer camps.
