ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Torrential downpours on Monday flooded roads in Patterson and caused a building collapse—fortunately, the vacant building left no injuries and emergency crews from Patterson, Putnam Lake and the Sheriff’s Department promptly responded after Route 22 closed.  Mid Hudson News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A widespread 911 outage affected Dutchess County Tuesday afternoon, prompting law enforcement to advise residents to call the Sheriff's Office at 845-486-3800 or text 911 for emergencies. Officials have not yet determined the cause—updates will follow as more details become available.  Daily Voice
  • The Dutchess County Legislature unanimously appointed Michael McCormack as the new trustee on the SUNY Dutchess Board of Trustees to fill the vacancy left by Evelyn Panichi. A DCC alumnus & Hall of Fame member, McCormack chairs the county GOP and supports the college through scholarships and projects.  Mid Hudson News

  • Doctors warn that two new COVID variants are now spreading in New York and may cause painful symptoms plus a sore throat sometimes described as razor blade throat.
