Jose Luis Mojica, 31, was captured in Poughkeepsie just before 8 p.m. on June 25 after trying to flee officers near Lexington Avenue—he was wanted for a parole violation stemming from a second-degree robbery conviction and was processed before being transferred to Dutchess County Jail.

The Poughkeepsie Social Security office will reopen Monday, June 30 behind a new public entrance at 4 Academy Street — customers are urged to schedule appointments to reduce wait times.

The agency also recommends continuing to use online services for faster processing.
