- ➤ DEC officers in Fishkill found a near-dead native snake after observing suspicious behavior with snake tongs — an alleged offender who admitted to killing the reptile received a ticket for the unlawful take. Hudson Valley Post
- ➤ Kevin Fitzpatrick—41-year-old who attempted suicide by cop in December—is arraigned in Dutchess County Court on felony charges of menacing a police officer and reckless endangerment plus a misdemeanor for falsely reporting an incident after his hospital release; his lawyer said he is not a danger while Judge McLoughlin noted that his actions led to the shooting incident. - ➤ On June 21, a drunk ATV crash on the Dutchess Rail Trail in LaGrange hurt Putnam County man Nicholas J. Hunt and his passenger, and Hunt was charged with DWI while Poughkeepsie man Justin M.
