- ➤ Earlier this week, the Friends of the Feathered and Furry Wildlife Center released two bears back into the wild after they recovered from being underweight and starving over the winter — one bear, found near Hunter Mountain Ski Slopes, quickly turned to look back — and the female bear, known as the Margaretville Bear, is now set to live on her own in the Catskills.
