CRIME NEWS
- ➤ One of the dirt bike riders accused in September of stopping traffic and confronting a state trooper was indicted by the Dutchess County Grand Jury as Poughkeepsie resident Naquan Eubanks, a/k/a Ace Dinero, 26, was arraigned on charges including assault and tampering with evidence — he was remanded to jail on bond conditions of $100,000 cash bail, $200,000 bond, or $600,000 partially-secured bond — while awaiting further court appearances. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Residents in the Mid-Hudson and Catskills regions voted Tuesday on school district budgets, with Kingston City School District approving a $249.5 million plan by a vote of 1,781—957 and Poughkeepsie City School District approving a $147.7 million budget by a vote of 329—93. Multiple districts passed budgets ranging from $32.1 million to nearly $380 million while the Mahopac plan was rejected and results remain unofficial. Mid Hudson News
- ➤ St. Lawrence O’Toole’s Early Childhood Learning Center in Brewster was named Putnam County’s Day Care Center of the Year at a Poughkeepsie event hosted by the Child Care Council of Dutchess-Putnam—recognizing its family feel and strong parent support from over 300 nominations.
