  • Orange Bank & Trust, a bank with 133 years in Hudson Valley, announced it will invest more in construction and trade industries by naming Patrick Smith as SVP to lead the new effort that will use AI and data to improve service for local contractors and developers.  Mid Hudson News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On May 5th, Lucky Rehabilitation Center in Spencertown cared for Flattop, an Eastern Screech Owl injured by a chainsaw. The owl is now eating again (a sign his treatment is working) and is making steady progress.  WPDH

SPORTS NEWS

  • Rhinebeck girls flag football beat defending champion Saugerties 33-6 on May 14 to earn the top seed in Section 9 playoffs—quarterback Gwen Dampf threw five touchdowns to lead the team—and they will play either Our Lady of Lourdes or Burke Catholic on May 23.  Poughkeepsie Journal
  • At the OCIAA girls track and field championships held Friday and Saturday at Warwick Valley High School, four meet records were set—Cornwall won the team championship with 151 points and led over Monroe-Woodbury and Kingston.  Poughkeepsie Journal
