ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices in New York reached $4.10 per gallon on Monday, up from $4.00 last week, per the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Analysts say prices could rise another 20 to 30 cents in coming weeks due to rising demand and supply concerns from Middle East tensions.  Poughkeepsie Journal

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Thousands of volunteers will join the 15th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep on May 2 to clean parks, trails, and waterfronts along the Hudson, with 100 cleanup sites from New York City to the Adirondacks. Local residents can sign up early to secure supplies and a cleanup spot to protect our river.  WRRV

SPORTS NEWS

  • Goshen basketball star Jimmy Kelly and Beacon senior guard Michai Thompson were named to the NYSSWA second-team all-state after standout seasons + Kelly averaged 29 points and 10 rebounds while verbally committing to Army, and Thompson led his team to a Section 9 title with an 18-point average.  Mid Hudson News
  • The Hudson Valley Renegades will host Bark in the Park events for five season games, letting dogs run the bases and enjoy giveaways when a human ticket is purchased. Early arrivals get a collector’s gift (courtesy of Good Boy Vodka) and after each game, dogs and kids run the bases.  WRRV
