- ➤ Metro-North's Breakneck Ridge station in Putnam County will close for two years as construction starts today to upgrade the station and build the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail that will connect trailheads along the Hudson River—temporarily closing nearby hiking trails in the first phase. - ➤ Dutchess County Sheriff Kirk Imperati will offer a free one-day New York Safe Boating Course at the DCSO Headquarters (108 Parker Avenue) on Saturday, April 26 (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) so boaters can learn to follow Brianna’s Law and obtain the required Boating Safety Certificate.
