  • Ulster County is proposing a gas tax cap to waive a four-percent sales tax on gas above three dollars per gallon from June through August to help drivers cope with rising fuel prices. The plan follows similar measures in neighboring counties.  1450 WKIP

  • Experts warned that heavy snowfall last winter helped ticks survive and an early spring may bring the worst tick season to the Hudson Valley. Health officials advise residents to use EPA-approved repellents (like DEET) and check themselves and pets after being outdoors.  Hudson Valley Post
