  • Empire Training Center for the Arts will welcome new Arts Administration students starting April 21 at The Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie as students join a six-week, paid work placement with New York Stage and Film at Marist University; applications close March 31.  Poughkeepsie Journal

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Governor Kathy Hochul announced the new MTA app today to help Hudson Valley visitors navigate NYC with real-time subway and bus updates and transfer information (including accessible station details). The app is available for download now.  WPDH
  • New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli is urging residents to check for over $8 billion in unclaimed funds—money from forgotten bank accounts and uncashed checks—with more than $163 million returned this year; searching is free using the Comptroller’s website.  Hudson Valley Post

  • Tops Friendly Markets recalled 6-ounce bags of Christopher Ranch Peeled Garlic on Tuesday, Mar. 24 after improper storage raised deadly health concerns from bacterial growth.
