- ➤ On Feb. 17 at 4:27 p.m., Poughkeepsie officer Michael Barbagallo rushed into a burning home without gear to help residents evacuate (a 31-year veteran) before firefighters began battling the flames. WPDH
- ➤ Wallkill View Farm in New Paltz will open on March 26 for its 2026 season—this third-generation, family-owned market offers fresh vegetables, fruits, baked goods, and garden plants with views of the Shawangunk Mountains. Locals can enjoy a renewed taste of Hudson Valley tradition. WPDH
- ➤ Walkway Over The Hudson State Historic Park in Poughkeepsie announced new hours—opening from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through March 29—to give locals extra time to enjoy its scenic views and fresh air this spring. WPDH

- ➤ Shake Shack will open its third Hudson Valley restaurant on Tuesday, Mar. 24 at 10:30 a.m. at 35 Winslow Gate Road near the Hudson Heritage development.
