ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Officers recovered a man's body from the Hudson River on Friday, Feb. 20 after he jumped from the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge as officials resumed discussions on installing climb-deterrent fencing to improve bridge safety and suicide prevention.  Hudson Valley Post

BUSINESS NEWS

  • K&D Deli (the last Hudson Valley location) closed its Taft Ave spot this past Friday, ending 40 years of service and leaving locals without their favorite lunch stop.  WRRV
  • McDonald’s will launch its Big Arch Burger at local locations on March 3 with two beef patties, white cheddar, lettuce, pickles, onions, and a special Big Arch Sauce on a poppy-seed bun. Fast food fans in the Hudson Valley can look forward to trying this game changer.  Hudson Valley Post

HEALTH NEWS

  • With snow piling up today, health experts warn that shoveling can put extra strain on the heart for residents over 45 or with heart conditions. Past winters saw about 200,000 ER visits, and doctors advise using snowblowers + taking breaks to ease the risk.  Poughkeepsie Journal
