  • Millman's T-Shirt Factory—known for serving restaurants, little league teams, and fire departments—has been sold to Joker Ink of Beacon as former owner Stuart retires. The company will expand services with a new space planned between Beacon and Poughkeepsie.  Hudson Valley Post

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • A developing winter storm is moving toward our region and is forecast to affect areas from Saturday, Feb. 21 through Monday, Feb. 23. Meteorologists say cold air is key to bringing snow, with impacts depending on the storm’s track along the coast.  Daily Voice

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Dutchess County Assemblyman Beephan supports Gov Hochul's plan to build an advanced nuclear power plant in the Hudson Valley to improve grid reliability & create clean energy. He said the plant would reduce transmission constraints and provide high-quality local jobs.  Hudson Valley Post
  • Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail Inc. pledged $450,000 to Cold Spring and Philipstown to extend sidewalks along Fair Street as part of a $2 million project easing traffic on the 7.5-mile trail connecting Cold Spring and Beacon. The municipalities will seek state DOT funds for 80% as construction begins this year.  Mid Hudson News

  • Baby food sold in New York is recalled due to a potential health risk from mold that can cause nerve damage. Initiative Foods says the Tippy Toes Apple Pear Banana Fruit puree (BB 07/17/2026) should be thrown out or returned, and no illnesses have been reported.  Hudson Valley Post

  • Rhinebeck Planning Board approved final plans for the SoHo House private-members club at the former Grasmere Estate, setting the stage for construction. The luxury resort (32 rooms and cabins plus a spa) will be built on a 250-acre property in northern Dutchess County.  Mid Hudson News

  • Minisink Valley girls wrestling captured the Section 9 title on Monday at Mount Saint Mary College by scoring 234 team points — Sara Pauls and Jaida Macaluso each recorded their 100th career win as they clinched five individual championships.  Mid Hudson News
