- ➤ On Feb. 5, Public Works staff raised the Pan-African flag next to the U.S. flag (a symbol of unity) to recognize Black History Month. The city celebrates the contributions and resilience of its Black community. WPDH
- ➤ Due to extremely cold windchills, Town of Wappinger Parks and Recreation postponed S'more Fest to Saturday, Feb. 21 at 1pm at Carnwath Farms Historic Site Park in Wappingers Falls. The event will offer bonfires, roasted marshmallows and hot cocoa for community fun. WPDH

- ➤ On Valentine's Day, Catamount Mountain Resort in Hillsdale will host Neon Nights: Glow with the Flow Dance Party with DJ Kari. The free event, open to all ages, runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and features a light show, glow accessories, and drink specials & dance music. Hudson Valley Post

- ➤ John Jay High School Science Olympiad students won the Mid-Hudson Science Olympiad Regional Competition on their home turf for the fourth time and qualified to compete in the New York State Tournament at LeMoyne College on March 20-21, thanking volunteers + supporters for their help.
