- ➤ Mi Rancho Alegre, a new Mexican restaurant in Lake Katrine, held its grand opening on Friday, Feb. 6 and is already serving diverse dishes, vegetarian options, and drink specials. The venue offers a daily happy hour from 2pm to 6pm. WPDH
- ➤ Stop & Shop is offering a free jar of Pizza or Pasta Sauce (14–24 oz) at participating locations from Feb. 6 to Feb. 12. Shoppers must check in at the Savings Station to load a coupon on their GO Rewards card. Daily Voice
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ New Yorkers using TurboTax can refile their state tax returns after a glitch linked to Inflation Refund Checks was fixed on Thursday, Feb. 5; the company warned that refund amounts may differ from original filings. WRRV
- ➤ New York has expanded its child tax credit so families (including those with low or no income) can get cash refunds by filing a state tax return; eligible households get up to $1,000 per child under 4 and up to $330 for children ages 4 to 16. Poughkeepsie Journal
- ➤ Federal funds totaling nearly $30 million will support education upgrades, road improvements, public safety training, and camp enhancements across the Hudson Valley.
