About this event
Opening Reception | Saturday, November 14, 3–5 pm
Join us at WRCA for three exhibitions celebrating artistic vision, the human figure, and storytelling this November.
Come meet the artists and view the works; light refreshments will be served.
In Path of Jewels , Leslie Bender explores a lifelong search for consciousness, connection, and love through paintings, drawings, and prints. Drawing on decades of artistic practice, her work moves from the shadows of the subconscious toward a radiant exploration of self discovery and spiritual transformation.
In Painting as Vision , John McGiff presents figurative paintings inspired by Greek mythology, personal journeys, and the passage from innocence to loss to redemption. Through expressive color, dynamic compositions, humor, and grace, he reimagines familiar stories to reveal unexpected possibilities. His work invites viewers to reflect on the stories we tell and the ways our experiences transform us.
Figuratively Speaking , a regional exhibit juried by celebrated artist John McGiff, brings together works by artists exploring the human figure as a means of expressing identity, connection, and shared humanity. The works consider how we see ourselves and understand others. Together, they celebrate the diverse experiences that both unite and distinguish us.
