About this event

Big Learning Starts with The Basics!

Little moments can lead to BIG learning! Join us for The Newburgh Basics, a fun, interactive program created for families and caregivers with children ages 0-5.

Come play, move, sing, read, count, create, and explore together while discovering simple ways to help your little one learn and grow every day! Each session brings The Basics Principles to life through exciting, hands-on activities that families can easily continue at home.

Love, Manage Stress - Help families understand the importance of nurturing relationships, routines, encouragement, and responsive interactions.

Talk, Sing, and Point - Encourage families to build children's vocabulary and communication through everyday conversations, songs, questions, and storytelling.

Count, Group, and Compare - Help families incorporate early mathematics into daily activities through counting, sorting, patterns, shapes, sizes, and comparisons.

Explore Through Movement and Play - Promote development through play, movement, exploration, problem-solving, and curiosity.

Read and Discuss Stories - Encourage families to read with children regularly, ask questions, discuss pictures and characters, make predictions, and connect stories to children's experiences.

And that's not all! Families can look forward to a variety of special activities and experiences throughout the program, making every visit a new opportunity to have fun and learn together.

Come make memories, meet other families, and discover just how much learning can happen through everyday moments!

Perfect for children ages 0-5 and their grown-ups.
